How to uninstall Origin from your PC

How to erase Origin with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Origin is an application released by the software company Electronic Arts, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users try to uninstall this program. Sometimes this is troublesome because uninstalling this manually takes some knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE procedure to uninstall Origin is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to clean your Windows computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Press the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Origin or simply click the Search feature and type in "Origin". If it exists on your system the Origin program will be found automatically. Notice that when you click Origin in the list of programs, some data regarding the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Origin, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
For example you can see that for Origin:





  • The publisher is: http://www.ea.com
  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\OriginUninstall.exe
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Origin.

8. After removing Origin, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Origin which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Origin with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
