A guide to uninstall Origin from your PC

Origin is a software application. Origin has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Folders left behind when you uninstall Origin:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Origin

The files below were left behind on your disk when you remove Origin:

Usually the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

How to erase Origin using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Origin is a program released by the software company Electronic Arts, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users decide to remove it. Sometimes this can be troublesome because doing this by hand takes some knowledge regarding Windows program uninstallation. The best SIMPLE action to remove Origin is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Origin or simply click the Search feature and type in "Origin". The Origin application will be found very quickly. After you select Origin in the list of apps, some data regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Origin, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
For instance you can see that for Origin:





  • The publisher is: http://www.ea.com
  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\OriginUninstall.exe
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Origin.

8. After removing Origin, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Origin that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Origin using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
