Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lantern
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Lantern

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\users\administrator\appdata\roaming\lantern\lantern.exe.FriendlyAppName

A way to uninstall Lantern from your PC with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Lantern is an application offered by Brave New Software Project, Inc.. Sometimes, people decide to remove this application. 2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Lantern or simply activate the Search field and type in "Lantern". If it is installed on your PC the Lantern application will be found automatically. When you click Lantern in the list of apps, some data about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Lantern, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Lantern:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Lantern\uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Lantern.


8. After uninstalling Lantern, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Lantern which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Lantern with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
