How to uninstall Lantern from your PC

This page is about Lantern for Windows. A way to remove Lantern using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Lantern is a program released by Brave New Software Project, Inc.. Some people decide to erase this application. This is hard because performing this by hand takes some know-how regarding removing Windows programs manually. One of the best QUICK manner to erase Lantern is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your Windows system.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications installed on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Lantern or simply click the Search feature and type in "Lantern". The Lantern program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select Lantern in the list , the following information about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about Lantern, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Lantern:

• The publisher is: http://www.getlantern.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Lantern\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Lantern.


8. After removing Lantern, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Lantern that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Lantern using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
