Lantern has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Generally the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lantern
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Lantern

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\users\UserName\appdata\roaming\lantern\lantern.exe.FriendlyAppName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-4025002280-1003956146-1578847823-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume6\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Lantern\lantern.exe

A way to delete Lantern from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Lantern is an application offered by the software company Brave New Software Project, Inc.. Some people try to uninstall this program. • download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire the program's design and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs installed on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Lantern or simply click the Search feature and type in "Lantern". If it exists on your system the Lantern program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Lantern in the list of programs, some data regarding the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding Lantern, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Lantern:

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Lantern.


8. After removing Lantern, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Lantern which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
