A way to delete BOINC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BOINC is a program released by Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley. Sometimes, computer users want to uninstall this program. Sometimes this is troublesome because performing this by hand takes some skill related to Windows program uninstallation. The best SIMPLE solution to uninstall BOINC is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your Windows PC.

• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate BOINC or simply click the Search field and type in "BOINC". If it exists on your system the BOINC application will be found very quickly. When you select BOINC in the list of programs, the following data regarding the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding BOINC, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for BOINC:

• The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /X{454FEB02-F275-4E38-884E-FB92E73B81AA}

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove BOINC.


8. After removing BOINC, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong BOINC that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing BOINC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
