A way to erase BOINC from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BOINC is an application released by Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley. Frequently, computer users decide to uninstall this program. This is troublesome because doing this manually takes some skill related to PCs. The best SIMPLE way to uninstall BOINC is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and general tool to optimize your PC.

• visit Download Link
• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate BOINC or simply activate the Search field and type in "BOINC". The BOINC program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click BOINC in the list of apps, some data about the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about BOINC, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for BOINC:

• The publisher is: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/
• The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /X{7A9E897C-0C22-47E5-BE53-B44EF0D29E0D}

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall BOINC.


8. After uninstalling BOINC, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong BOINC which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling BOINC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
