A guide to uninstall AVG from your system

AVG is a computer program. This page holds details on how to remove it from your PC. It was created for Windows by AVG Technologies. Additional info about AVG Technologies can be seen here. Usually the AVG application is to be found in the C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup folder, depending on the user's option during setup. The full command line for removing AVG is C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup\avgsetupx.exe /mode=offline /uninstall=zen. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may get a notification for admin rights. The application's main executable file has a size of 688.50 KB (705024 bytes) on disk and is labeled avgntdumpx.exe.

If you are manually uninstalling AVG we suggest you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AvgZen

A way to erase AVG from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AVG is a program released by the software company AVG Technologies. Sometimes, users try to erase this program. This can be efortful because removing this manually requires some knowledge regarding removing Windows programs manually. The best SIMPLE manner to erase AVG is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to clean your Windows system.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications installed on the computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate AVG or simply click the Search field and type in "AVG". If it exists on your system the AVG application will be found automatically. Notice that when you select AVG in the list , the following information regarding the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding AVG, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove AVG.


8. After uninstalling AVG, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of AVG which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling AVG using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
