A way to uninstall Zotero from your computer

This web page contains thorough information on how to remove Zotero for Windows. It was developed for Windows by Corporation for Digital Scholarship. You can find out more on Corporation for Digital Scholarship or check for application updates here. Detailed information about Zotero can be found at https://www.zotero.org. The application is often located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero directory (same installation drive as Windows). The entire uninstall command line for Zotero is C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\uninstall\helper.exe. zotero.exe is the Zotero's main executable file and it takes approximately 247.05 KB (252984 bytes) on disk.

A way to remove Zotero from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Zotero is a program marketed by the software company Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Sometimes, users decide to remove it. • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate Zotero or simply click the Search feature and type in "Zotero". If it is installed on your PC the Zotero program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select Zotero in the list , the following information regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Zotero, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Zotero:

• The software company is: https://www.zotero.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\uninstall\helper.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Zotero.


8. After uninstalling Zotero, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Zotero that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Zotero using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
