How to uninstall Zotero from your PC

How to erase Zotero from your PC with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Zotero is an application released by Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Sometimes, users decide to uninstall this application. Sometimes this is efortful because deleting this manually takes some skill regarding PCs. One of the best EASY practice to uninstall Zotero is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and general tool to clean your computer.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Zotero or simply activate the Search field and type in "Zotero". If it exists on your system the Zotero application will be found automatically. After you select Zotero in the list , some data regarding the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have regarding Zotero, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Zotero:

• The software company is: https://www.zotero.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\uninstall\helper.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Zotero.


8. After removing Zotero, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Zotero that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Zotero with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
