How to uninstall Zotero from your computer

You can find on this page detailed information on how to remove Zotero for Windows. The Windows version was created by Corporation for Digital Scholarship. You can find out more on Corporation for Digital Scholarship or check for application updates here. More information about Zotero can be seen at https://www.zotero.org. Usually the Zotero program is to be found in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero directory, depending on the user's option during install. Zotero's complete uninstall command line is C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\uninstall\helper.exe. zotero.exe is the programs's main file and it takes circa 245.69 KB (251584 bytes) on disk.

A way to delete Zotero from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Zotero is an application offered by the software company Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Some computer users choose to remove this program. 5. All the programs existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Zotero or simply click the Search feature and type in "Zotero". If it is installed on your PC the Zotero program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select Zotero in the list of applications, the following information regarding the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding Zotero, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Zotero:

• The web site of the application is: https://www.zotero.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\uninstall\helper.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Zotero.


8. After uninstalling Zotero, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Zotero which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Zotero with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
