How to uninstall Zotero from your computer

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

A way to uninstall Zotero with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Zotero is an application marketed by the software company Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Some computer users choose to uninstall this application. This can be easier said than done because removing this manually takes some skill regarding removing Windows applications by hand. The best EASY manner to uninstall Zotero is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around tool to optimize your Windows computer.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate Zotero or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Zotero". If it is installed on your PC the Zotero application will be found automatically. When you click Zotero in the list of programs, the following data regarding the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Zotero, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Zotero:

• The software company is: https://www.zotero.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Zotero\uninstall\helper.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Zotero.


8. After uninstalling Zotero, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Zotero that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Zotero with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your Windows PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
