You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\zotero

Open regedit.exe to delete the values below from the Windows Registry:

A way to delete Zotero using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Zotero is a program released by the software company Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Frequently, computer users decide to remove this application. This is hard because performing this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best QUICK approach to remove Zotero is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your Windows computer.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on your PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Zotero or simply activate the Search field and type in "Zotero". If it exists on your system the Zotero app will be found automatically. Notice that after you select Zotero in the list of apps, some information about the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have about Zotero, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Zotero:

• The web site of the application is: https://www.zotero.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\uninstall\helper.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Zotero.


8. After uninstalling Zotero, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Zotero that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Zotero using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
