A way to uninstall Poedit from your computer

When planning to uninstall Poedit you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders remaining:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Poedit

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall Poedit:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Poedit\TranslationMemory\_u.fdt
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Poedit\TranslationMemory\_u.fdx
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Poedit\TranslationMemory\_u.fnm
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Poedit\TranslationMemory\_u.frq

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BugSplat\poedit

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\e:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\Poedit.exe

A way to erase Poedit from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Poedit is a program released by the software company Vaclav Slavik. Some computer users decide to erase this program. Sometimes this can be difficult because uninstalling this manually takes some skill related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best EASY practice to erase Poedit is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your Windows system.

• download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with the program's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Poedit or simply click the Search feature and type in "Poedit". The Poedit program will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select Poedit in the list of apps, some data about the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have about Poedit, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Poedit:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\unins000.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Poedit.


8. After removing Poedit, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Poedit which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Poedit using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
