How to uninstall Npcap from your PC

Npcap is a software application. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might receive a notification for administrator rights. Npcap's main file takes around 1.03 MB (1081352 bytes) and its name is Uninstall.exe.

Npcap has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\NpcapInst
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Npcap
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following registry values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap\Description
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap\DisplayName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap\ImagePath

How to delete Npcap using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Npcap is a program released by Nmap Project. Some people try to remove this program. Sometimes this can be hard because uninstalling this manually requires some know-how regarding Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE manner to remove Npcap is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and general utility to optimize your system.

• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on your PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Npcap or simply click the Search field and type in "Npcap". If it exists on your system the Npcap app will be found automatically. After you select Npcap in the list of applications, the following information about the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about Npcap, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Npcap:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Npcap\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Npcap.


8. After uninstalling Npcap, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong Npcap that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Npcap with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
