How to uninstall Npcap from your PC

Npcap is a computer program. Some files and registry entries are frequently left behind when you uninstall Npcap.

Generally the following registry data will not be uninstalled:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\NpcapInst
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Npcap
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap\Description
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap\DisplayName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap\ImagePath

How to remove Npcap from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Npcap is an application released by the software company Nmap Project. Some users choose to remove this program. • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Npcap or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Npcap". If it is installed on your PC the Npcap app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click Npcap in the list of applications, the following information about the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Npcap, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Npcap:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Npcap\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Npcap.


8. After removing Npcap, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Npcap which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Npcap using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
