A guide to uninstall Npcap from your system

Npcap is a Windows application. Read below about how to remove it from your computer. The Windows version was developed by Nmap Project. Further information on Nmap Project can be found here. Please follow https://www.npcap.org if you want to read more on Npcap on Nmap Project's web page. Npcap is typically installed in the C:\Program Files\Npcap directory, however this location may vary a lot depending on the user's option while installing the application. You can remove Npcap by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files\Npcap\uninstall.exe. Keep in mind that you might be prompted for administrator rights. The application's main executable file occupies 809.05 KB (828472 bytes) on disk and is called Uninstall.exe.

The following executables are installed along with Npcap. They take about 1.08 MB (1136144 bytes) on disk.

If you are manually uninstalling Npcap we suggest you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Frequently the following registry data will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\NpcapInst
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Npcap
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\npcap

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

How to remove Npcap from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Npcap is a program released by the software company Nmap Project. Sometimes, computer users decide to uninstall it. This is hard because doing this by hand takes some skill related to PCs. One of the best SIMPLE manner to uninstall Npcap is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to clean your computer.

• download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Npcap or simply click the Search feature and type in "Npcap". The Npcap program will be found very quickly. After you select Npcap in the list of programs, some information about the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Npcap, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Npcap:

• The web site of the application is: https://www.npcap.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Npcap\uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Npcap.


8. After removing Npcap, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Npcap which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Npcap using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
