A guide to uninstall IDS from your computer

IDS is a Windows application. Read more about how to uninstall it from your computer. It is developed by JLR. Open here for more details on JLR. Usually the IDS application is to be found in the C:\Program Files\JLR\IDS folder, depending on the user's option during setup. BackupRestore.exe is the IDS's primary executable file and it occupies circa 108.00 KB (110592 bytes) on disk.

A way to erase IDS from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

IDS is a program released by JLR. Frequently, people decide to remove this program. Sometimes this is easier said than done because deleting this manually takes some know-how regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE way to remove IDS is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to optimize your system.

  • go to Download Link
  • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with the program's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications existing on your PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find IDS or simply click the Search field and type in "IDS". If it is installed on your PC the IDS program will be found automatically. When you select IDS in the list of apps, some information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding IDS, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the app you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove IDS.

8. After removing IDS, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of IDS which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing IDS with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
