How to uninstall Spotify from your PC

Spotify is a Windows application. Read below about how to uninstall it from your PC. The Windows release was developed by Spotify AB. More information on Spotify AB can be seen here. Click on to get more data about Spotify on Spotify AB's website. Usually the Spotify application is placed in the C:\Users\UserName.SKYMEDIA\AppData\Roaming\Spotify folder, depending on the user's option during install. Spotify's full uninstall command line is "C:\Users\UserName.SKYMEDIA\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Spotify.exe" /uninstall. Spotify.exe is the Spotify's primary executable file and it occupies approximately 6.08 MB (6374968 bytes) on disk.

Spotify is composed of the following executables which take 8.83 MB (9256216 bytes) on disk:

  • Spotify.exe (6.08 MB)
  • SpotifyCrashService.exe (790.05 KB)
  • SpotifyLauncher.exe (60.05 KB)
  • SpotifyWebHelper.exe (1.85 MB)
  • wow_helper.exe (71.55 KB)

A way to uninstall Spotify with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Spotify is a program offered by Spotify AB. Some computer users want to erase this application. This is efortful because performing this manually requires some experience regarding removing Windows applications by hand.   • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Spotify or simply activate the Search field and type in "Spotify". If it is installed on your PC the Spotify app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Spotify in the list , some data regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding Spotify, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: "C:\Users\UserName.SKYMEDIA\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Spotify.exe" /uninstall
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Spotify.

8. After removing Spotify, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Spotify which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
