How to uninstall Plex from your computer

A way to remove Plex from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Plex is a program offered by Plex, Inc.. Some users try to erase this application. Sometimes this can be easier said than done because removing this manually takes some advanced knowledge regarding removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best QUICK procedure to erase Plex is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

  • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools category

5. All the programs existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate Plex or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Plex". If it is installed on your PC the Plex application will be found automatically. Notice that when you select Plex in the list of apps, the following data about the application is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about Plex, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the program you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Plex.

8. After uninstalling Plex, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Plex which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Plex using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
