A guide to uninstall Plex from your computer

Plex is a Windows program. Read more about how to remove it from your computer. It is developed by Plex, Inc.. More data about Plex, Inc. can be read here. Plex is commonly set up in the C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex folder, but this location may differ a lot depending on the user's decision while installing the application. You can uninstall Plex by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex\Uninstall.exe. Keep in mind that you might get a notification for administrator rights. Plex's primary file takes about 1.91 MB (2002600 bytes) and is named Plex.exe.

Plex installs the following the executables on your PC, taking about 18.45 MB (19349408 bytes) on disk.

A way to erase Plex with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Plex is a program by the software company Plex, Inc.. Some computer users try to remove it. This is hard because removing this by hand requires some experience regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best EASY procedure to remove Plex is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general tool to maximize the performance of your PC.

  • go to Download Link
  • download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the applications existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Plex or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Plex". The Plex program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Plex in the list of programs, some information about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about Plex, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Plex.

8. After removing Plex, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong Plex which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Plex using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
