A way to uninstall Plex from your computer

How to uninstall Plex using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Plex is an application by the software company Plex, Inc.. Some users want to remove it. This can be hard because deleting this manually takes some knowledge related to PCs. One of the best QUICK way to remove Plex is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to maximize the performance of your Windows PC.

  • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the programs installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Plex or simply activate the Search field and type in "Plex". If it exists on your system the Plex app will be found automatically. When you select Plex in the list of apps, the following data regarding the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding Plex, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Plex.

8. After uninstalling Plex, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Plex that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Plex using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.
