How to uninstall PixInsight from your system

A way to erase PixInsight from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

PixInsight is an application by Pleiades Astrophoto. Some people decide to erase this program. Sometimes this is difficult because deleting this by hand requires some knowledge regarding PCs. One of the best EASY action to erase PixInsight is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your system.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications installed on your computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate PixInsight or simply activate the Search feature and type in "PixInsight". The PixInsight program will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select PixInsight in the list , some information regarding the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding PixInsight, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for PixInsight:

• The uninstall string is: C:\ProgramData\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\{BA650E61-87B5-4574-A69A-8966CDF2F3C6}\PI-windows-x64-1.8.7-20190930-c.exe /i {BA650E61-87B5-4574-A69A-8966CDF2F3C6} AI_UNINSTALLER_CTP=1

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall PixInsight.


8. After removing PixInsight, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of PixInsight which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing PixInsight with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
