A guide to uninstall Grammarly from your system

Grammarly is a Windows program. Read more about how to remove it from your PC. The Windows version was created by Grammarly. Go over here for more info on Grammarly. Usually the Grammarly application is found in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\GrammarlyForWindows folder, depending on the user's option during install. The full command line for uninstalling Grammarly is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\GrammarlyForWindows\Update.exe. Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may be prompted for admin rights. GrammarlyForWindows.exe is the programs's main file and it takes circa 441.55 KB (452152 bytes) on disk.

Grammarly is composed of the following executables which occupy 51.60 MB (54105312 bytes) on disk:

  • GrammarlyForWindows.exe (441.55 KB)
  • squirrel.exe (1.93 MB)
  • GrammarlyForWindows.exe (47.32 MB)

A way to erase Grammarly from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Grammarly is a program released by Grammarly. Frequently, people choose to erase this program. 2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the programs installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Grammarly or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Grammarly". The Grammarly program will be found automatically. When you select Grammarly in the list of programs, the following data regarding the program is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding Grammarly, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Grammarly.

8. After removing Grammarly, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong Grammarly which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Grammarly with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
