A guide to uninstall Grammarly from your computer

Grammarly is a Windows program. Read below about how to remove it from your PC. It was coded for Windows by Grammarly. More information on Grammarly can be seen here. Usually the Grammarly application is installed in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\GrammarlyForWindows folder, depending on the user's option during install. You can uninstall Grammarly by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\GrammarlyForWindows\Update.exe. Note that you might be prompted for admin rights. GrammarlyForWindows.exe is the programs's main file and it takes about 280.58 KB (287312 bytes) on disk.

Grammarly installs the following the executables on your PC, taking about 100.08 MB (104939000 bytes) on disk.

A way to erase Grammarly using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Grammarly is an application marketed by the software company Grammarly. Frequently, users try to remove this application. Sometimes this is easier said than done because removing this manually takes some knowledge related to PCs. One of the best QUICK solution to remove Grammarly is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your system.

  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs button

5. All the applications installed on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Grammarly or simply activate the Search field and type in "Grammarly". If it exists on your system the Grammarly app will be found automatically. After you select Grammarly in the list of apps, some data regarding the program is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Grammarly, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Grammarly.

8. After uninstalling Grammarly, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Grammarly that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Grammarly with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
