A guide to uninstall Chromium from your PC

Chromium is a Windows application. Keep in mind that this location can differ being determined by the user's choice. The full command line for removing Chromium is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Chromium\Application\72.0.3597.0\Installer\setup.exe. Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might get a notification for administrator rights. The program's main executable file is called chrome.exe and it has a size of 1.67 MB (1752064 bytes).

Chromium is composed of the following executables which take 4.98 MB (5217792 bytes) on disk:

  • chrome.exe (1.67 MB)
  • elevation_service.exe (426.50 KB)
  • notification_helper.exe (560.50 KB)
  • setup.exe (2.34 MB)

A way to uninstall Chromium with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Chromium is an application released by The Chromium Authors. Sometimes, people choose to erase it. This can be easier said than done because performing this by hand requires some experience regarding Windows program uninstallation. The best EASY way to erase Chromium is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your system.

  • go to Download Link
  • download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Chromium or simply activate the Search field and type in "Chromium". If it is installed on your PC the Chromium program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Chromium in the list of programs, the following information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Chromium, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Chromium.

8. After uninstalling Chromium, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong Chromium which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Chromium using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
