How to uninstall Spotify from your system

You can find on this page details on how to remove Spotify for Windows. It is produced by Spotify AB. More information on Spotify AB can be seen here. More information about Spotify can be seen at . The application is often installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Spotify folder (same installation drive as Windows). You can remove Spotify by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files (x86)\Spotify\Spotify.exe. Keep in mind that you might get a notification for administrator rights. The application's main executable file occupies 112.21 KB (114904 bytes) on disk and is named SpotifyLauncher.exe.

Spotify is comprised of the following executables which take 8.50 MB (8914568 bytes) on disk:

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

A way to uninstall Spotify from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Spotify is an application released by Spotify AB. Frequently, users decide to erase it.   • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the programs installed on your computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Spotify or simply activate the Search field and type in "Spotify". If it is installed on your PC the Spotify program will be found very quickly. When you select Spotify in the list , some information regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding Spotify, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
For example you can see that for Spotify:





  • The software company is: http://www.spotify.com
  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Spotify\Spotify.exe
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Spotify.

8. After removing Spotify, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Spotify which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Spotify using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
