A guide to uninstall RuneLite from your PC

RuneLite is a Windows application. Read more about how to remove it from your PC. It was created for Windows by RuneLite. You can read more on RuneLite or check for application updates here. Usually the RuneLite application is installed in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\RuneLite directory, depending on the user's option during setup. You can remove RuneLite by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\RuneLite\unins000.exe. Keep in mind that you might be prompted for administrator rights. RuneLite.exe is the RuneLite's main executable file and it takes circa 409.50 KB (419328 bytes) on disk.

Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you uninstall RuneLite.

Folders left behind when you uninstall RuneLite:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\f7sefshm.default\storage\default\https+++runelite.net

The files below were left behind on your disk by RuneLite's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\E__RuneLite_RuneLite_exe
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\f7sefshm.default\storage\default\https+++runelite.net\ls\data.sqlite
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\f7sefshm.default\storage\default\https+++runelite.net\ls\usage

Usually the following registry data will not be uninstalled:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\RuneLite Launcher_is1
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RADAR\HeapLeakDetection\DiagnosedApplications\RuneLite.exe
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Nahimic\NAHIMICV3\NahimicSettings\Applications\RuneLite.exe

Open regedit.exe to remove the values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\E:\RuneLite\RuneLite.exe.FriendlyAppName

A way to delete RuneLite using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

RuneLite is an application offered by RuneLite. Frequently, users want to erase this program. 3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find RuneLite or simply activate the Search field and type in "RuneLite". If it is installed on your PC the RuneLite program will be found automatically. Notice that when you select RuneLite in the list of apps, the following data regarding the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding RuneLite, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove RuneLite.


8. After uninstalling RuneLite, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of RuneLite which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing RuneLite using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
