How to uninstall RuneLite from your PC

When planning to uninstall RuneLite you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove RuneLite:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\C__Users_UserName_AppData_Local_RuneLite_RuneLite_exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\RuneLite_is1
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RADAR\HeapLeakDetection\DiagnosedApplications\RuneLite.exe
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Nahimic\NahimicV3\NahimicSettings\Applications\RuneLite.exe

Registry values that are not removed from your computer:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\RuneLite\RuneLite.exe.FriendlyAppName

A way to uninstall RuneLite from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

RuneLite is an application by RuneLite. Frequently, users decide to uninstall it. 3. Press the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications installed on your PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate RuneLite or simply click the Search field and type in "RuneLite". If it exists on your system the RuneLite application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click RuneLite in the list of apps, some information about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about RuneLite, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove RuneLite.


8. After uninstalling RuneLite, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of RuneLite that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling RuneLite with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
