Some files and registry entries are frequently left behind when you uninstall RuneLite.

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall RuneLite:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar\Tombstones\RuneLite (2).lnk
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\RuneLite.jar.lnk

Registry that is not removed:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\RuneLite Launcher_is1
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RADAR\HeapLeakDetection\DiagnosedApplications\RuneLite.exe

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-176502727-3734805033-972551673-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume4\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\RuneLite\RuneLite.exe
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-176502727-3734805033-972551673-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume4\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\RuneLite\unins000.exe

How to delete RuneLite from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

RuneLite is an application marketed by the software company RuneLite. Some computer users decide to uninstall it. Sometimes this can be difficult because uninstalling this by hand takes some knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications installed on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find RuneLite or simply click the Search feature and type in "RuneLite". The RuneLite program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click RuneLite in the list of programs, the following data about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about RuneLite, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall RuneLite.


8. After removing RuneLite, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong RuneLite which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing RuneLite with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
