A way to uninstall Heimdal from your computer

Heimdal is a Windows program. Read below about how to uninstall it from your PC. It is developed by CSIS Security Group. Take a look here for more details on CSIS Security Group. More details about the software Heimdal can be found at http://www.csis.dk. The application is usually placed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal folder. Keep in mind that this path can vary depending on the user's preference. Heimdal's entire uninstall command line is C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal\uninstaller.exe. The application's main executable file is labeled HeimdalAgent.exe and it has a size of 1.11 MB (1168464 bytes).

The following executable files are incorporated in Heimdal. They take 1.74 MB (1823208 bytes) on disk.

Some files, folders and Windows registry data will not be uninstalled when you want to remove Heimdal from your PC.

Folders found on disk after you uninstall Heimdal from your PC:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\CSIS Heimdal

The files below remain on your disk when you remove Heimdal:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal\Client\Agent.Boot.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal\Client\Agent.Core.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal\Client\Agent.Core.XmlSerializers.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal\Client\ARSoftTools_LICENSE.txt

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CSIS\Heimdal
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Heimdal

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{0E3C52E0-B4F1-4D1E-B172-E390813BD9FE}\InstallSource
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Heimdal\DisplayIcon
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Heimdal\DisplayName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Heimdal\QuietUninstallString

How to delete Heimdal with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Heimdal is an application offered by CSIS Security Group. Sometimes, users try to erase this program. This can be troublesome because deleting this manually requires some know-how regarding removing Windows programs manually. The best QUICK practice to erase Heimdal is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general utility to optimize your Windows system.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the programs installed on the computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Heimdal or simply click the Search field and type in "Heimdal". The Heimdal program will be found automatically. After you select Heimdal in the list , the following information about the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about Heimdal, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Heimdal:

• The web site of the program is: http://www.csis.dk
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Heimdal\uninstaller.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Heimdal.


8. After removing Heimdal, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Heimdal which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Heimdal using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to serve you properly.
