How to uninstall Dev-C++ from your system

Dev-C++ is a Windows application. Note that you might receive a notification for administrator rights. devcpp.exe is the programs's main file and it takes circa 3.06 MB (3209728 bytes) on disk.

How to erase Dev-C++ using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Dev-C++ is a program by the software company Bloodshed Software. Some users decide to remove this application. This is efortful because performing this by hand takes some know-how related to removing Windows applications by hand.   • download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool

5. A list of the programs existing on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Dev-C++ or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Dev-C++". If it is installed on your PC the Dev-C++ program will be found very quickly. When you select Dev-C++ in the list of applications, some information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding Dev-C++, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Dev-C++.

8. After removing Dev-C++, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Dev-C++ which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
