How to uninstall AIMP from your PC

AIMP has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall AIMP:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\AIMP

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall AIMP:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\AIMP\AIMP.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\AIMP\AIMP.ini
• C:\Program Files (x86)\AIMP\AIMP.Runtime.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\AIMP\AIMP.Shared.dll

Registry that is not removed:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\AIMP
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\AIMP

Additional values that are not cleaned:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1F77B17B-F531-44DB-ACA4-76ABB5010A28}\InprocServer32\

How to delete AIMP from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AIMP is a program by the software company AIMP DevTeam. Some computer users choose to uninstall this application. Sometimes this can be difficult because uninstalling this manually requires some advanced knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. The best QUICK practice to uninstall AIMP is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around utility to clean your computer.

• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find AIMP or simply click the Search feature and type in "AIMP". If it exists on your system the AIMP program will be found automatically. After you select AIMP in the list , the following information regarding the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding AIMP, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for AIMP:

• The publisher is: http://www.aimp.ru
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\AIMP\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall AIMP.


8. After removing AIMP, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong AIMP which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
