How to uninstall Zoom from your system

Zoom is a Windows application. Some files, folders and Windows registry data will not be removed when you are trying to remove Zoom from your computer.

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\zoom_us_Zoom Video Meetings

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.zoom
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Zoom
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ZoomUMX
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppHost\Zoom

Supplementary values that are not cleaned:

A way to delete Zoom from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Zoom is an application by the software company Zoom Video Communications, Inc.. Frequently, users try to remove it. • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on your PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Zoom or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Zoom". The Zoom app will be found automatically. When you click Zoom in the list of applications, the following data regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Zoom, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Zoom:

• The web site of the program is: https://zoom.us
• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\mfakhari\AppData\Roaming\Zoom\uninstall\Installer.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Zoom.


8. After removing Zoom, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Zoom which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Zoom using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
