Shotcut has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Shotcut:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut

The files below remain on your disk by Shotcut's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut\db.sqlite3
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut\shotcut-log.txt

Many times the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Meltytech\Shotcut
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Shotcut
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Shotcut

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Shotcut\shotcut.exe

How to erase Shotcut from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Shotcut is an application offered by Meltytech, LLC. Frequently, people decide to remove this application. 3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications installed on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Shotcut or simply click the Search feature and type in "Shotcut". If it is installed on your PC the Shotcut application will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Shotcut in the list of programs, some data regarding the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Shotcut, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Shotcut.


8. After uninstalling Shotcut, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of Shotcut which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
