How to uninstall Shotcut from your system

Shotcut is a Windows program. Take into account that this path can differ depending on the user's choice. The full command line for uninstalling Shotcut is C:\Program Files\Shotcut\uninstall.exe. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may be prompted for administrator rights. Shotcut's main file takes about 3.39 MB (3558288 bytes) and is called shotcut.exe.

Following the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Part_A few of these are shown below.

Directories left on disk:

The files below remain on your disk by Shotcut when you uninstall it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut\db.sqlite3

Generally the following registry keys will not be uninstalled:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Meltytech\Shotcut
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Shotcut
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Shotcut

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional registry values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-3018252958-1156070793-2852633704-1002\\Device\HarddiskVolume1\Program Files\Shotcut\shotcut.exe

A way to remove Shotcut from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Shotcut is a program offered by Meltytech, LLC. Sometimes, users try to erase this program. 2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs existing on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Shotcut or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Shotcut". The Shotcut app will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select Shotcut in the list of programs, some data regarding the application is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding Shotcut, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Shotcut.


8. After uninstalling Shotcut, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Shotcut which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Shotcut with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.
