A way to erase ScanGuard from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ScanGuard is a program marketed by ScanGuard. Sometimes, users want to erase this program. Sometimes this is troublesome because uninstalling this by hand takes some knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. 1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to optimize your system.

  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire the program's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category

5. All the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate ScanGuard or simply click the Search feature and type in "ScanGuard". The ScanGuard app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click ScanGuard in the list , some data about the application is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about ScanGuard, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\ScanGuard\uninst.exe
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove ScanGuard.

8. After removing ScanGuard, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong ScanGuard that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing ScanGuard with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
