How to uninstall McAfee® from your computer

After the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the computer. Part_A few of these are shown below.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\McAfee.WPS

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\mc-fw-host\ImagePath
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\mc-wps-update\ImagePath

How to delete McAfee® from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

McAfee® is a program marketed by the software company McAfee, LLC. Sometimes, computer users want to remove it. 2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find McAfee® or simply click the Search field and type in "McAfee®". If it exists on your system the McAfee® program will be found automatically. After you select McAfee® in the list of applications, the following information about the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about McAfee®, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove McAfee®.


8. After uninstalling McAfee®, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong McAfee® that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing McAfee® using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
