How to uninstall Gwyddion from your PC

Gwyddion is a Windows application. Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you remove Gwyddion.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Gwyddion
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Gwyddion
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Gwyddion

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

How to delete Gwyddion with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Gwyddion is a program offered by Gwyddion developers. Sometimes, computer users try to uninstall this application. This is easier said than done because uninstalling this manually requires some knowledge regarding PCs. One of the best QUICK procedure to uninstall Gwyddion is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your system.

• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on your PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate Gwyddion or simply click the Search field and type in "Gwyddion". If it is installed on your PC the Gwyddion app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Gwyddion in the list of apps, some data regarding the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Gwyddion, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Gwyddion:

• The web site of the application is: http://gwyddion.net/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Gwyddion\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Gwyddion.


8. After removing Gwyddion, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong Gwyddion that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Gwyddion with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
