How to uninstall Desura from your PC

Following the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the PC. Part_A few of these are listed below.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Desura
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Desura Install Service

Additional registry values that you should delete:

How to remove Desura with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Desura is a program released by Desura. Sometimes, users decide to remove this program. Sometimes this can be difficult because removing this by hand requires some skill regarding removing Windows programs manually. One of the best SIMPLE manner to remove Desura is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your Windows system.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Desura or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Desura". The Desura app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select Desura in the list , some data about the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about Desura, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Desura:

• The publisher is: http://www.desura.com/about
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Desura\Desura_Uninstaller.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Desura.


8. After uninstalling Desura, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Desura that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Desura using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to serve you properly.
