A guide to uninstall WinGate from your system

When you're planning to uninstall WinGate you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders remaining:

• C:\Program Files\WinGate
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\WinGate

The files below are left behind on your disk by WinGate's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Program Files\WinGate\Certificates.chi
• C:\Program Files\WinGate\Certificates.chm
• C:\Program Files\WinGate\Client\WGIC.msi
• C:\Program Files\WinGate\credentials.chi

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\WinGate_RASAPI32
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\WinGate_RASMANCS
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\WinGate7.2
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate

Registry values that are not removed from your computer:

How to erase WinGate from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

WinGate is a program marketed by the software company Qbik New Zealand. Sometimes, users try to remove this program. 3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the programs installed on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find WinGate or simply click the Search feature and type in "WinGate". If it exists on your system the WinGate program will be found automatically. After you click WinGate in the list of applications, the following data about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about WinGate, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove WinGate.


8. After uninstalling WinGate, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of WinGate which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them.
