A way to erase TrueCrypt from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

TrueCrypt is a program offered by the software company TrueCrypt Foundation. Sometimes, people try to remove this program. Sometimes this is easier said than done because doing this manually takes some knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE procedure to remove TrueCrypt is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your system.


2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's design and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the applications existing on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find TrueCrypt or simply activate the Search field and type in "TrueCrypt". The TrueCrypt program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click TrueCrypt in the list of apps, some data about the application is available to you:

  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about TrueCrypt, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove TrueCrypt.

All the items that belong TrueCrypt that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
