How to uninstall HipChat from your computer

A way to delete HipChat from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

HipChat is an application offered by Atlassian Inc. Sometimes, users decide to remove this application. This is troublesome because deleting this manually takes some advanced knowledge regarding removing Windows programs manually. One of the best SIMPLE manner to remove HipChat is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and all around tool to clean your PC.

• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications installed on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find HipChat or simply click the Search field and type in "HipChat". The HipChat program will be found automatically. Notice that when you select HipChat in the list , some information regarding the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding HipChat, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for HipChat:

• The software company is: https://atlassian.hipchat.com/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlassian\HipChat4\unins000.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove HipChat.


8. After removing HipChat, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong HipChat that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing HipChat using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
