How to uninstall GOM Player from your PC

GOM Player has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Directories that were found:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall GOM Player:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\lang\fra.ini
• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\lang\ger.ini
• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\lang\ita.ini
• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\lang\por.ini
• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\lang\tur.ini
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\GOM Player.lnk

Many times the following registry keys will not be uninstalled:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GOM Player

Additional values that you should clean:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\GrLauncher.exe.ApplicationCompany

How to uninstall GOM Player from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GOM Player is an application by the software company Gretech Corporation. Some people choose to erase it. Sometimes this can be hard because deleting this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best EASY way to erase GOM Player is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around tool to clean your computer.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the programs existing on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find GOM Player or simply click the Search field and type in "GOM Player". If it exists on your system the GOM Player app will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select GOM Player in the list of programs, the following data about the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have about GOM Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for GOM Player:

• The web site of the application is: http://player.gomlab.com/eng/support/supportcenter/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove GOM Player.


8. After removing GOM Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of GOM Player that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling GOM Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.
