A guide to uninstall Fix-It from your PC

Fix-It is a Windows application. Some files, folders and Windows registry data can not be uninstalled when you want to remove Fix-It from your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Fix-It:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\Fix-It
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Avanquest\Fix-It

The files below remain on your disk by Fix-It's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\Fix-It\About.png
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\Fix-It\ActiveIntelligence.aqg
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\Fix-It\ActivityMonitor.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\Fix-It\AnalyzerList.xml

Usually the following registry keys will not be uninstalled:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Fix-It Menu
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Fix-It Menu
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Fix-It Menu
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{F75A7740-2698-11E1-8693-B8AC6F1D23E2}

Registry values that are not removed from your computer:

A way to uninstall Fix-It from your computer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Fix-It is an application by Avanquest. Some people want to erase this application. This can be easier said than done because uninstalling this manually requires some knowledge related to PCs. 3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs installed on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate Fix-It or simply click the Search field and type in "Fix-It". If it is installed on your PC the Fix-It program will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select Fix-It in the list of programs, the following information regarding the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding Fix-It, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the app you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Fix-It:

• The publisher is: http://www.vcom.com
• The uninstall string is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information\{68DE2E5E-DABE-427D-B902-22A4DC12112B}\setup.exe" -runfromtemp -l0x0409

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Fix-It.


8. After removing Fix-It, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Fix-It that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Fix-It with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
