Several files, folders and registry data can be left behind when you remove Arduino from your computer.

Folders remaining:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Arduino15
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Arduino

Usually, the following files are left on disk:
  • C:\Users\%user%\Desktop\Arduino.lnk
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Arduino15\library_index.json
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Arduino15\package_index.json
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Arduino15\preferences.txt
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Arduino\preferences.txt

Registry that is not removed:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arduino

How to delete Arduino with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Arduino is an application offered by Arduino LLC. Frequently, users decide to erase this program. 6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Arduino or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Arduino". If it is installed on your PC the Arduino app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Arduino in the list of apps, the following information about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about Arduino, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Arduino.
