How to uninstall Altium Designer from your system

Some files and registry entries are typically left behind when you remove Altium Designer.

The files below remain on your disk by Altium Designer's application uninstaller when you removed it:

A way to delete Altium Designer from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Altium Designer is an application released by the software company Altium Limited. Some computer users try to uninstall this program. Sometimes this is efortful because removing this manually takes some skill regarding removing Windows programs manually. One of the best QUICK approach to uninstall Altium Designer is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to take care of your system.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of tools.

3. Press the General Tools category

5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Altium Designer or simply click the Search field and type in "Altium Designer". If it is installed on your PC the Altium Designer program will be found automatically. After you select Altium Designer in the list of applications, the following information about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about Altium Designer, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the app you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

  • The web site of the program is: http://www.altium.com
  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Altium\AD\System\Installation\uninstall.bat
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Altium Designer.

8. After removing Altium Designer, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Altium Designer that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Altium Designer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
