A way to uninstall Start Menu from your computer

Start Menu is a Windows program. Read below about how to remove it from your PC. It is made by Pokki. Check out here for more info on Pokki. The program is often located in the C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\Pokki\Engine folder (same installation drive as Windows). Start Menu's full uninstall command line is C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\Pokki\Engine\HostAppService.exe. Start Menu's main file takes about 1.82 MB (1909064 bytes) and its name is StartMenuIndexer.exe.

Start Menu installs the following the executables on your PC, taking about 18.47 MB (19371480 bytes) on disk.

  • HostAppService.exe (7.45 MB)
  • HostAppServiceUpdater.exe (9.14 MB)
  • StartMenuIndexer.exe (1.82 MB)
  • wow_helper.exe (65.50 KB)

Start Menu has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Usually the following registry keys will not be uninstalled:

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Start Menu or simply activate the Search field and type in "Start Menu". The Start Menu app will be found automatically. After you click Start Menu in the list of apps, the following data regarding the program is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Start Menu, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Start Menu.
