How to uninstall XCTU from your computer

XCTU is a software application. How to delete XCTU from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

XCTU is a program by the software company Digi International Inc.. Some users try to erase this application. Sometimes this is hard because removing this by hand requires some knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. One of the best QUICK practice to erase XCTU is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to optimize your Windows system.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the programs existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find XCTU or simply activate the Search feature and type in "XCTU". The XCTU application will be found very quickly. After you click XCTU in the list , the following data about the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about XCTU, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for XCTU:

• The software company is: http://www.digiembedded.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Digi\XCTU-NG\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove XCTU.


8. After uninstalling XCTU, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong XCTU that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling XCTU using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
