Some files, folders and Windows registry data will not be removed when you want to remove XAMPP from your PC.

Usually, the following files are left on disk:
  • C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\CrashDumps\xampp-control.exe(1).7460.dmp
  • C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\CrashDumps\xampp-control.exe(1).7712.dmp

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

A way to erase XAMPP from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

XAMPP is an application offered by the software company Bitnami. Sometimes, computer users choose to uninstall it. This is hard because removing this by hand takes some knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best QUICK approach to uninstall XAMPP is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general utility to optimize your computer.

  • download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the programs existing on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find XAMPP or simply click the Search field and type in "XAMPP". If it exists on your system the XAMPP application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select XAMPP in the list of programs, some information about the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have about XAMPP, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the app you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove XAMPP.

8. After uninstalling XAMPP, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of XAMPP which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
